Cyclone Biparjoy Updates: CPRO of Western Railways has announced the cancellation of trains on June 14, before the landfall of Cyclone Biparjoy. “69 trains cancelled, 33 trains have been short terminated, and 27 trains short originated as a precautionary measures” says Shri Sumit Thakur CPRO of Indian Western Railways.
The cyclone intensified into the regions of Western India. It mainly includes regions of Coastal Gujarat, Mumbai, and Rajasthan. Coming to the point, due to the Cyclone a lot many trains have been cancelled or short terminated due to the worse effect of the cyclone. According to notice by the Western Railways, 69 trains cancelled till the Cyclone Biparjoy landfall.
Considering safety measures and precautions over Cyclone Biparjoy, Western Railways has cancelled trains, that runs on location prone to the worse effect of the Cyclone. 69 trains have been partially cancelled as per Indian Western Railways. Western Railways has shared that the passengers of cancelled trains will get refund, so they can also reschedule. “Refund will be admissible as per extant rules” says Indian Western Railways.
