Kochi, Kerala: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee Chief K. Sudhakaran was arrested by Crime Branch on Friday, accused of antiques cheating case. Sudhakaran was released on bail on Saturday after a series of interrogations taken out by the Crime Branch. After involvement in the case, Sudhakaran offered to resign as the Chief of KPCC. Reacting to the offer, even prominent Congress leaders rejected Sudhakaran’s suggestion to quit.

The Congress Party leaders ensured Sudhakaran extended all political and legal support to fight the case. Sudhakaran shared his thoughts to step down and stay away from the party. Replying to media questions, Sudhakaran added “I am ready to stay away if necessary. I will not stand for anything that will harm the party.
“By copying Modi’s autocratic and democratic tactics, Pinarayi and CPIM Party are trying to promote the fascist rule in the country” tweeted Kerala Congress’s official handle, statement summarized. “Pinarayi and his government proved they are not a worthy ally for anyone in the fight against the fascist rule in the country” Kerala Congress added.
