Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Flight IX613 express flight operated by Air India from Tiruchirappalli to Sharjah made an emergency landing in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday due to technical issues. The express flight was carrying 154 passengers and six crew members. As the report says, technical issues occurred in the flight just after takeoff from Tiruchirappalli International Airport.
The pilot of flight IX613 made a precautionary decision to make an emergency landing in Thiruvananthapuram. “The decision was taken due to a technical snag post-takeoff,” Air India Express Spokesperson said in the statement.

The Airline clarified that the landing was not an emergency landing, it was a precautionary landing. The report says, the landing was uneventful, and all passengers disembarked successfully in the afternoon.
Following the emergency landing of the Air India Express flight in Thiruvananthapuram, the Airline company made an official apology for the inconvenience. The statement added, “We regret the inconvenience caused to guests on board. Our team is making alternative arrangements for their travel”.
