NIA | 04 July 2023: National Investigation Agency conducted raids on the house of two brothers in Amritsar, Punjab. The two brothers were accused in a Pakistan-funded Narco Terror case, as the investigation agency mentioned. The two Narco Terror case accused were identified as Bikramjit Singh and Maninder Singh, their properties were attached under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. As per sources, the two Narco Terror Case accused brothers were earlier arrested by the National Investigation Agency. National Investigation Agency filed four chargesheet against thirteen accused sections of the UAPA, NDPS, and IPC in the case, registered on 8th May 2020.
National Investigation Agency had earlier attached illegal land measuring 60 Kanal 10 Marla, in the instant case. Six vehicles and six lakh rupees in cash were also seized by the NIA.

The case relates to a conspiracy hatched by a narco terror module to smuggle large quantities of drugs into India from Pakistan. The drugs were bought to India under the imported bags of rock salt from across the border. The sale proceeds of the smuggled drugs were used to create movable and unmovable properties in Punjab. It was also being channelized to fund terrorists of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen in the Kashmir Valley.
