New Delhi, India: “There is nothing more unfortunate than comparing this to any other state. There is an atmosphere of anarchy in Manipur,” says Manish Tewari amidst the conflicting situation in the northeast state of India. For almost 77-78 days there is a constant atmosphere of conflicts and autocracy in Manipur. Congress MP Manish Tewari said Manipur has become one of the most unfortunate states of India, compared to any other state. Amidst the violent situation in the state, Congress MP Manish Tewari criticized the BJP-led Manipur government. Manish Tewari said, “There is nothing like the Government and Administration there” relating to the government of Manipur.

In the context of the upcoming monsoon session of the Parliament, Manish Tewari asked the Prime Minister to give a statement on the floor of the Parliament about the concerning issue of Manipur. As Parliamentary Affairs, Minister Pralhad Joshi stated “We have made it clear that we are ready for discussion on Manipur in both Houses”. The opposition party leaders including Manish Tewari have demanded that the matter be discussed in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha under Adjournment Motion and Suspension of Business Notices.
