New Delhi, India: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi gave a statement today in the Lok Sabha accusing the BJP Government of silencing the voice of the citizens of Manipur. Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP-led Government of India of silencing the voices of India through their actions over Manipur violence.
The Congress MP mentioned in his statement “Bharat ek awaaz hai, Bharat hamari janta ki awaaz hai, Uss awaaz ki hatya aapne Manipur mein ki”, Rahul Gandhi tried to blame the Central government for killing ‘Bharat’ by putting silence of Manipur violence. Rahul Gandhi’s allegation came in front as he tried to criticize the BJP-led government’s handling of the situation in Manipur. The Congress MP critically alleged the central government’s actions that suppressed victims’ voices and loss of lives in Manipur.

While replying to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations, Union Minister Smriti Irani alleged Congress MP by saying “He[Rahul Gandhi] went outside the country…there he had programs with Tanzeem Ansari…he had a meeting with Minhaj Khan”. Smriti Irani’s statement ignited a new round of political debate in the Lower Parliament House. Irani’s statement highlighted the alleged associations and interactions of Rahul Gandhi during his foreign visit. Smriti Irani alleged that Rahul Gandhi met with some individuals particularly known for their views on Indian politics.
