On 22nd April and 23rd April SANSAD “National Youth Parliament “ was organized at the NDMC Centre SANSAD Marg New Delhi. The event was an annual initiative to bring the young leaders of the nation together. It was a platform offered to the youngsters where they are given a mock parliament set-up and exposure to the parliament-type Debate. Youth Parliaments were organized to cover all States and Union Territories. Deliberate on given topics in the presence of a Jury. Yash Dixit was among the least-aged delegate as the delegates included postgraduate students and Law students from different parts of the country.

The competition was on a National Scale where students and delegates from different colleges represented different portfolios. The event continued for two days. Yash Dixit from Delhi University also got short-listed and participated in the event. Yash Dixit’s portfolio was BJP. It was a mock Parliamentary Session with all the Protocols of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Guest of Honour was Moh. Salman Khurshid Former Minister of External Affairs of India The Topic for the discussion around the committee was the Deliberation of the Uniform Civil Code Former Joint Secretary of Lok Sabha was also present during the event.
Yash Dixit is a student of Delhi University. Yash is a part of The Drama Society ie The Third Act of Satyawati College. Yash has spoken at various independent and organized events like Delhi Dais. Akshara Theatre. In recent days Yash came to light as Performed at The Delhi Dais and won the first prize. He won the award of “Times of India “at DU.
Yash Gave the credits to Principal Anju Seth Mam and HOD History Delhi University Prof. Ishwar Dan Sir and his uncle Mr. Anurag Dixit for the guidance and atmosphere in the College. The event gave him an immense amount of confidence as it was Yash Dixit’s first National Competition the overall experience shared was good.
